Selfiee Story
While filming a film in Bhopal the hot star, Akshay Kumar urgently needs a licensed driver to finish his film on time. But, a miscommunication and a disagreement with the Motor Vehicle Inspector Om Prakash, causes an argument between Om Prakash and Akshay. Akshay's passionate fan becomes his back on him, insisting that Akshay has to legally get a license just as a common citizen, which could take as long as one month. However, Akshay has to leave for the US within the next week. Can he get his license before taking off?

Selfiee Review
Does a small-town traffic policeman, Om Prakash Agarwal (Emraan Hashmi) who is battling the megastar Akshay Kumar in the case of a driver's license appear to be an overstretch? Maybe. However, the humor and the performances featured in this remake of the 2018 Malayalam movie, Driving License could make you forget the shaky idea. An acknowledgment of Akshay's popularity and a film called Don't Angry Me, a nod to the numerous projects he works on every year, his status as an actor by producers, and even his "jabdewali smile" are all fun to see. However, his turn as a super-fan-turned-nemesis also worth mentioning. He holds firmly to his character and adheres to the middle-class and humble man look even when doing heroic acts. The only downside could be his Bhopali accent which is constantly changing.
The director, Raj Mehta, who reunites with Akshay after Good Newwz is able to handle the film's first half with ease, keeping the pace light and fun and laced with funny one-liners that perform effortlessly. However, the second portion which revolves around the fight between the two protagonists, however, is not quite as humor-filled. The film is still enjoyable, even if parts that revolve around the licensing test seem slightly over-extended. The movie also pokes fun at the media trial phenomenon as well as the #BoycottBollywood movement. However, capturing instances of media coverage that are loud and loud has become stale and repetitive in our films.
While the main actors excel, Abhimanyu Singh as a faded superstar Suraj as well as Meghna Malik in the role of the star-struck corporate boss, Kamla Tiwari, are far more impressive. Abhimanyu has a hilarious performance as Akshay's former roommate and a person who is now spewing offensive lines for shady films and commercials. After a couple of times, however, his roles appear forced. The social media influencer Kusha Kapila, with the role of the tarot reader, does an excellent job. However, Meghna is the standout, particularly due to her impeccable comic timing when she is in the scenes she has with Akshay. Diana Penty as Akshay, Naina isn't given much of a character to play, but in whatever role she plays, the elegant and supportive wife, she does a good job. Nushrratt Bharuccha who is a veteran of the comical genres is able to play the role of an adolescent Bhopali woman as well as Om Prakash's lover, Minty, well.
Anu Mailik as well as Tanishk Bagchi's "Main Khiladi Redux' is danceable and Lijo George-DJ Chetas's track title and Vikram Montrose's song 'Sher and 'Sher' are both pumped.
All in all, Selfiee is easy to watch with some great performances and a few laughter-filled moments. If you're looking to enjoy a heart-pounding comedy on the weekend, this could be an excellent choice.
